Specializations

  • I work with individuals who notice an ongoing impact of prior relationship(s) on their current experience, especially in the form of shame and self-criticism.

I combine “bottom-up” somatic and imaginal approaches alongside interpersonal relational awareness and “top-down” cognitive approaches in support of self-awareness, meaning-making, and working through traumatic impacts of relational injury.

  • I work with individuals, couples, and other family unit orientations to address:

    • Impending and new parenthood

    • Incorporating co-parenting choices into a healthy relationship dynamic

    • Impacts of pregnancy, childbirth and child rearing on mental health of birthing and non-birthing partners

  • I work with couples to address limiting dynamics and cycles, often with the intent of improving communication and understanding, building a sense of “we” in the relationship, and promoting healthy interdependence.

I also provide short-form counseling for couples seeking alignment on whether to end their relationship or reconcile. In a few sessions, clients can build clarity about the current state of the relationship and discuss possible next steps with confidence.

  • Drawing on a decade of experience coaching managers and executives, I apply evidence-based relationship-oriented modalities to a company’s essential relationships.

I work with individuals, couples, and other relationship orientations, with advanced training and experience in the topics below:

Ways to Work With Me

Individual Therapy

I offer individual therapy for people ages 18 and older, meeting 1-3 times per week to collaboratively build awareness, agency, and self-regard.

My therapeutic style pairs a relationally-focused psychodynamic orientation with a bespoke application of somatic, depth-oriented, and cognitive-behavioral modalities to support symptom reduction, resilience, and other therapeutic goals.

Relationship Therapy

I offer therapy for couples, families, and other relationship orientations, meeting once a week as a group and occasionally one-on-one to focus on the relationship between you.

As we work together, we’ll focus on the dynamic or “working style” that has been built within the relationship. Together, we enlist each person’s support to observe and shift that dynamic as you collectively see fit, drawing from relationship-oriented frameworks (e.g. Gottman, EFT).

In cases where clients may not be mutually aligned on the need for therapy or the longevity of the relationship, I begin our work with discernment counseling.

Group Therapy

Prior group topics have included:

  • Parenting after going no- or low-contact with family of origin

  • Relational process group

  • DBT skills group for parents
